We’re having a baby! Well not all of us, but our production technician Mira (Mimi) is. So, we have decided to have a “guess the birth date and gender” contest. (Hint: June) Every order placed between now and then gets an entry form. The winner will receive a nice package of Scorpion merchandise (and a custom engraved iPod Nano). Just fill out the form and fax it back to us at 1-877-377-4036.

3D Printer

November 2011
Scorpion has just purchased an Objet 30 3D printer. This new technology gives us the capacity to manufacture prototype and limited run production plastic pieces in-house. Riley the cat is real; we did not print him up.

SolidWorks

November 2011
We recently added SolidWorks Premium 2011 to our suite of design tools. This new software package will allow us to provide better quality drawings for our customers and to streamline our new product design processes.

WE WON! We are really pleased to announce that Scorpion won the 2011 BDC Manufacturer Of The Year Award as presented by the Kamloops Chamber Of Commerce. We have been nominated several times, but this is our first win.

Daniel

October 2011
We would like to congratulate one of our co-op students, Daniel Hall, on his performance at the 2011 Worldskills competition in London, England. This is the Olympics for the trades, and Daniel’s 10th place finish is really impressive.
