This grip comes in 4 different stock option styles and like our other projects, can be customized to your exact needs. Unlike many other mid-sized grips on the market, the X-Series has the option of having no trigger, a single trigger, or a DOUBLE trigger! This allows for the functionality found in some larger grips to be included in this compact style. It has been ergonomically designed to fit most hand sizes and includes a lower flange that allows the operator to comfortably rest their hand while using the grip. Similar to the rest of the control grips offered at Scorpion Technologies, the X-Series can be designed with a custom overlay that can include both a company logo as well as operator directions. Visit the X-Series page to find out more information and see pictures of the different grips available in stock. Proportional Pushbutton

July 2006
They are here! It's been a much longer road than we thought, but our new proportional pushbuttons are finally ready, and we are very pleased with the result. The PB-PR2-A is a self contained proportional pushbutton assembly. Life is measured in the millions of cycles. The spring return pushbutton has a stroke of 4 mm and gives a 0.5 to 4.5 VDC output. The unit will panel mount just about anywhere, and can be installed in most faceplate locations of our L, M, S, P, O, and H series grips. A rubber boot provides environmental protection for the Hall Effect sensor and magnet. Give us a call at 1-877-377-1117 for more information.

Illuminated Pushbutton

June 2006
We have finally found a source that can supply high quality long life illuminated pushbuttons, so we are happy to announce their addition to our product line. We can install these switches as a matrix in the faceplates of our L, S, M, and O grips or in individual button locations in our B, K and P grips. The LED illuminated switches are available in red, yellow and green, in both small and large diameter versions. Two different "feels" are available, a snap action version that has a distinct click, and a longer stroke smooth action version. Many other colors are available in matching non illuminated versions, and square bezels can be special ordered. Life is >100,000 cycles at the rated current of 10 mA.

June 2006
Many times a good old fashioned relay is still the best way to drive a high current load. Our EM-RY series of relay modules is designed to take the pain out of installing a relay. They come with 2, 4, or 6 relays, in 5, 12, and 24 Volt versions. The 10 Amp relays take less than 1mAmp to activate, and there is a handy LED for each relay input to help with troubleshooting. All relay functions are accessible via the terminal strips. Overall dimensions (without the optional case) are 3.0 x 3.7 x 1.0 inches. All relay outputs have diode protection on the relay contacts.

H-Series Control Grip

May 2006
Our new H series grips are traditionally styled pendant controls typically used for crane hoist applications. These are extremely robust, weatherproof pendant stations that normally come with large heavy duty momentary pushbuttons. We carry 4 and 6 button versions in stock, and we can supply 2 and 8 button versions. In addition, we can customize the faceplate to accept any of the switches we offer including rockers, toggles, pushbuttons and Estops in a huge variety of configurations. LEDs can also be installed. We will wire the grips to your specifications or supply unwired. Like all of our products, the H series grips are designed to be easily customized to meet our customers' exact needs.

November 2003
We have a new member on our marketing and sales team. She is too shy to pose for photos, but you can still see what she looks like on the Contact Us! page. We would all like to welcome Abra to Scorpion, and we are sure you will be hearing from her in the near future.

O-Series Control Grip

November 2003
We have added a 3 position enabling switch as an optional accessory to our line of "O" series grips. A three position enabling switch is a "deadman" type of switch that is off when it is not pressed, on when it is pressed to the first position (half way), and off again when pressed fully down. In an emergency situation, some operators will release a deadman switch, but others will clamp down on it. This switch covers both possibilities. The photo shows the switch mounted in the top of our middle sized "O" grip. A smaller version and a rubber boot cover are available for other applications.

November 2003
FREE SHIPPING! Once again we will ship all January 2004 orders at no charge. Just mention the special offer and shipping will be free.

Pendant Strap

September 2003
A customer asked us if we could supply a strap that he could use with an O series grip (in a radio remote control application) so that the operator could let the grip hang when not in use. We designed and built this lanyard, and it worked so well we decided to add it to our product line. It allows a person to let go of the pendant style control to free up both hands, yet still have the grip handy when needed. It adjusts to fit all size people from the very small to the very large, and can be used with any of our handles. Give us a call if you need more information.

Pendant Clip

September 2003
This one is also a direct response to a customer request. This is a clip hanger for our grip that allows the operator to easily "hang up" a pendant style grip when not in use. Shown here on our L series product, the hanger is available for our M, S, and O handles also. The installation kit includes all mounting hardware and two wedge shaped shims to adjust the clip mounting angle for a perfect fit.

Mounting Adapter

September 2003
If you are using one of our grips in a stationary application but still want some adjustability, we now have a mounting adapter that can help. This new adapter mounts (with 3 bolts or screws) anywhere you want, and the pivoting ball feature allows you to rotate and tilt the handle to the most comfortable angle. When you tighten down the adjustment screws the grip is locked into position! The adapter body is 2 inches in diameter by 1 inch tall.

Valve Driver Module

September 2003
It's been a while since new products have been posted, but that doesn't mean we haven't been hard at work! Look for a LOT of new stuff over the next little while. To start off with:
We are pleased to announce that we have completed field testing on our new analog output proportional valve driver module, part number PVD-A. The module is now available for sale. Have a look at the page here.

March 2003
We have just added a new section under Products called "Control Boxes". We have been doing more and more of these lately, and it seemed like a good idea to showcase some of them to help give our customers a better idea of our capabilities. If you think about it, our control grips are basically control boxes that are shaped to fit your hand, so supplying box shaped boxes is a natural extension of our product line. Have a look at the page here, or give us a call at 1-877-377-1117 if you would like to discuss a similar application.

March 2003
We have added a customer feedback page. If you have compliments, complaints, or suggestions, we would like to hear about them. We work very hard to give the best customer service in the industry, and your input is the best tool we have for measuring how we are doing.

We are very pleased to announce that we have received our ISO 9001-2000 certification! It was a long process and quite a bit of work, but we feel that the results are worth the effort. Working to the ISO 9001-2000 standards will help to ensure that we will consistently deliver the highest quality products and service.

January 2001

Service Kit

November 2000
We are pleased to announce the availability of our new handle service kits. While our handles use switches that are rated for millions of cycles, they will eventually wear out. Our convenient (and inexpensive) little kits contain all the parts and tools to field replace a switch or leaf spring. This can really reduce expensive down time! Ask for KT-00 for L and S series handles, and KT-01 for M series grips.

May 2000
All of Scorpion Technologies Ltd.'s grips are now serial numbered for improved traceability. Each grip has a unique serial number located on the mounting pin inside the handle. This means that we can track the date of manufacture and configuration of each handle. This will make things like ordering parts very simple. Just give us the serial number, and we can supply the correct parts for that exact handle, whether it is a simple stock model, or a one-off custom version.
