Marketing Job opening - Spring 2016

Scorpion Technologies Ltd. is an ISO 9001-2008 certified manufacturer and distributor of industrial control grips, joysticks, pendant controls, control boxes, radio remotes and associated accessories. Our products are typically used on heavy duty mobile equipment in the agricultural, construction, marine, forestry, municipal, and mining industries. We have also supplied products for a diverse range of other applications, including martial arts scoring systems, motion pictures (both on and off screen), the aerospace industry, hobby level quilting machines, and golf carts.

The owner and staff have been building these kinds of products since 1995. Over this time our product line has expanded to include many different grip and joystick models and a broad range of accessories. While we offer many stock items, the majority of our products are customized to fit each customer’s exact needs. We are developing new controls and accessories on an ongoing basis.

Scorpion’s core philosophy is to manufacture and merchandise top quality reasonably priced products and to give our customers before and after sales service that is second to none. We are constantly striving to make our products and/or service even better, and welcome any suggestions for new products or improvements to our existing ones.

We are looking for a marketing/sales person. Annual growth is about 15% right now (with no marketing efforts), but we want to accelerate that rate and protect our existing sales volume. We have had several marketing/sales people over the years but have struggled to find the right person.

The right person will develop and implement (this is not just a marketing position, sales will be involved) an ongoing marketing/sales strategy. While knowledge of hydraulics/electrics would be very beneficial, we have always taken the position that the skills needed are more in the marketing/sales areas and that the technical knowledge can be learned. We have several tech people on staff that can provide technical support and backup for the marketing/sales person. French or Spanish would also be an asset.
